Me! I make, design, pattern make and sew, every piece in my home studio in Brisbane, Australia.
-
The fabrics I use fall into two main categories:
New fabrics which I source from an Australian company who supply textiles with Oeko_Tex 100 standard certification and from local textile agents who sell deadstock textiles (excess materials discarded by bigger brands).
I also use vintage, pre-loved and deadstock materials. These materials I source from second hand dealers and vintage markets.
-
Yes, and it’s actually really creatively satisfying.
I use workroom textile off-cuts to make smaller items like phone and tablet pouches or inner components like pockets and bias binding finishing.
Any remaining materials that are too small to re-purpose I send for recycling with Upparel.
-
Sure is. I’m proud to be plastic free.
Here is the break down:
My branded tissue paper is made from recycled, biodegradable materials so that it’s 100% compostable.
Shipping boxes are made cardboard and are recyclable.
Postcards and with compliments notes are printed using paper made with the highest standards of sustainable forestry.

Deadstock is a fashion manufacturing industry term used for textiles and materials that bigger brands no longer have use for. What usually happens is that the big designers order large amounts of materials but don’t always end up using them, maybe because the colour is no longer trending, it’s the wrong season, they ordered too much… for whatever reason, it’s a win for small, independent designers like me and it’s definitely a win for diverting from landfill.
-
Yes.
But… only my own designs.
To design something new means a higher price range and longer turnaround time, and I feel this is not the best way for me to serve my clients.
However! I can easily make adjustments for individual body shapes and make adjustments like raising or lowering hemlines.I can also sew your fabric into my design. I know many of you have secret fabric stashes or like to supply your own fabrics for something personal to you. As long as the fabric suits the style I easily accomodate that.

Because I only ever make small runs, sometimes the sizes available online are limited. But I usually have enough fabric in my workroom to whip something up in your size.
Also, let’s remember that bodies come in all shapes and sizes and it’s quite rare for a body to fall perfectly into a pre-determined “standard” size. Often measurements for bust, waist and hips fall across different size categories. If this is you, contact me and I can make something to fit your body.
