FAQs

Do I need to bring my own sewing machine? You’re welcome to BYO sewing machine, or use one of our domestic machines. If bringing your own, please make sure you’re familiar with how it works.

I’m a total beginner — is this class for me? This class is suitable for absolute beginners through to intermediate sewers. With two instructors, there’s plenty of support to guide you at every stage, whatever your level.

What should I bring to class? Bring your sewing machine, pre-washed fabric, and matching thread. We’ll email you before the class with everything you need to be prepared and ready to get started.

How many people are in each class? Classes are kept small to ensure personalised support — around 10 people per session.

What if I don’t have all the tools or equipment? We provide access to studio tools like cutting tables, irons, and specialist equipment.

Is there parking available? There is no parking on site, but there is plenty of free street parking in the surrounding streets (always check street signs).

If you’re bringing a sewing machine, you’re welcome to pull up in the driveway at the venue and we can take it in for you so you don’t have to carry it from the street. At the end of class, you can leave your machine with us, collect your car, and drive by — we’ll bring it out to you for easy pickup.

Will I be refunded if the event does not go ahead in unforeseen circumstances? Yes! If we need to cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances participants will be refunded in full.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my booking? Unfortunately, we are unable to reschedule your booking to a different date or provide a refund for cancelled bookings because of the preparation required for the workshops and the limited spaces available.
