Brisbane Fashion Month: Slow Fashion Runway
October in our sunny city is Brisbane Fashion Month.
This year has seen yet another fantastic series of events including a very special slow fashion runway which I was delighted to part in. This year’s event took place on one of those perfect Brisbane spring evenings in the open air of the Queen Street Mall. The air was abuzz with Friday night late shoppers who were treated to a runway show featuring some of Brisbane’s most exciting slow fashion brands including The Sewloist, Pink Pineapple, caviR07 amongst others. I presented 7 looks featuring some archive a hop and a skip pieces styled with the new range of up-cycled accessories including bumbags, tote bags and bucket hats, all slowly made from vintage and pre-loved textiles.
All these looks and more will be available at next week’s BFM Queen Street Mall pop up shop.
